Withdrawal Policy

KAMBOTI: Jurnal Sosial dan Humaniora respects the rights of authors, while also considering the time and effort invested by editors and reviewers in processing manuscripts. Therefore, the journal applies the following policy regarding the withdrawal of manuscripts.

Withdrawal Before Review

Authors may withdraw their manuscript at any time before it is sent to reviewers, by sending a written request to the Editor-in-Chief via the journal's contact email, stating the manuscript title, submission ID, and the reason for withdrawal.

Withdrawal During Review or After Acceptance

Withdrawal of a manuscript that is under review or has been accepted is strongly discouraged, as it wastes the valuable resources of editors and reviewers. Such a request must be submitted in writing by the corresponding author, signed by all authors, and include a clear and acceptable reason. The manuscript is considered withdrawn only after the authors receive written confirmation from the Editor-in-Chief. Authors must not submit the same manuscript to another journal until the withdrawal has been confirmed.

Withdrawal After Publication

Published articles cannot be withdrawn by the authors. Articles that have been published may only be corrected or retracted in accordance with the journal's Corrections and Retractions policy.

Consequences

Since the journal does not charge any fees, no withdrawal penalty fee is applied. However, authors who withdraw manuscripts without acceptable reasons, or submit the same manuscript to other journals simultaneously, may be prohibited from submitting to KAMBOTI: Jurnal Sosial dan Humaniora for a certain period.
